Military Time
The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and the Canadian Cadet Organization (CCO) use “Military Time.” While this time format can be confusing to some, it is just a regular 24-hour clock.
If the hours is above 12, then it is in the PM. Less than 12 it is in the AM. Example: in the time 1730hrs, the 17 is the hours and 30 is the minutes. Translate 1700 on the chart below and it is 5:00pm. So 1730hrs is 5:30pm.
